Types of Accreditation
There are two main types of accreditation schemes - those that accredit the landlord or person managing the property and those that accredit the property itself. In Bolton we have initially focused on accrediting the property but intend to accredit landlords or their managing agents in the future.
The Accreditation Code of Standards can vary between local authorities too. In Bolton the scheme includes criteria related to the property condition, management standards and the landlord's conduct.
Applying for Membership
Application and commitment to the Accreditation Scheme Code of Standards is voluntary and provides you with increased opportunities, improved status and recognition, as well as access to a wide range of existing and new benefits and incentives.
